I have always had a love for photography, travelling to Mediterranean cities and wanting to capture their essence is what started it. I have an urge to photograph practically everything that I see and I am constantly tracking new locations that I want to photograph.
I am influenced by the past, particularly the victorian era, the 1920’s, 1940’s and the 1950’s. Before I start a project or a shoot I research extensively and create mood boards, this is to help me reminisce and then translate my imagination. I am profoundly inspired by Romanticism, music, old masters in painting, various fine art, documentary and fashion photographers. I am constantly seeking new practices and processes to improve my style of photography, helping me to confine my own personal direction.
In 2011, I began studying towards my BA in photography at the University of Kent, currently I am in my third and final year. I have been lucky enough to work with other professional photographers, to shoot weddings for the first two summers of my degree and to now have the chance to exhibit my fine art photography in London this May.
